"Lulu's World" - a truly unique profile
"Lulu's World" is the illustrated story with accompanying music of a girl who travels around the world with a magical bird called Kukulu. She makes friends in every country who, in turn, introduce their typical indigenous animals to her. These encounters are accompanied by melodic masterpieces.
"Lulu's World" comprises an illustrated book with 2 accompanying music CDs with 12 songs in total, including "full versions" for listening and learning and instrumental "play back" versions" so children can sing along (with their parents). All songs have been produced in English and German.
"Lulu's World" will also be marketed as an Audio Book in which children can listen to the fascinating stories, framed by catchy pop music of high educational value.
The composers Eva French and Annette Kwee (long time friends) believe firmly that music is an extremely important element in children's education; they have initiated a cooperation with the Clara-Schumann Music School in Düsseldorf on a pilot project where the creation of a Musical, a songbook and a teachers' guide book are being evaluated. The creators of these amiable melodies for children are convinced that they have crafted a new dimension in children's music.
Building on a child's natural and unbounding curiosity, in this case to learn more about our world and its animals, "Lulu's World" guides them through 11 very different countries, learning about the culture and the animals in a manner which stimulates and develops the imagination and indulges their fantasies. With characters as diverse as a black sheep in Ireland, a giraffe in Africa and a kangaroo in Australia introduced in the book, the animals are introduced by typical representatives of their respective countries - e.g. a little cowboy in America, a Buddha boy in Thailand, etc. Accordingly, children are encouraged to appreciate the cultural diversity of the world today.
The theme of all the encounters in the story is friendship, always portrayed with a slightly different aspect to capture and maintain interest, yet consolidate the theme which at the end of book enables the reader to draw a beautiful, unified picture of what friendship really means.
As we all know - Many children need help today, so, in keeping with the theme of friendship and the cultural diversity of the book, we feel that part of the sales of "Lulu's World" should support children in need. To start with, we propose helping a children's project in Indonesia.
